It's good

It doesn't remind me of descending into chaos. It reminds me of a heroic battle that is about to start. Perhaps an epic battle :). It starts with someone telling his/her family they have to go into battle (beginning), that person marching into battle (middle), and then the two forces meet and are about to fight (end).

DarqueHand responds:

That's a cool image. I'm actually glad it made you think of something like that!

Dope

Nice chord changes and solos. Pretty tasteful. Crazy cadenza at the end. Up until the cadenza I loved. The cadenza I thought was good, I just think you should extend the song more and then have the cadenza. I could see this in a video game easily. I'm surprised you haven't gotten more listens and votes for this song. Anyway, make more crazy ass good shit like this man.

Very nice

I really like your original spin on the Zelda tunes. I think its hilarious that you put the character voices in, but they are perfectly placed. LOL. I liked all the transitions, and the balance is great. I have to arrange some nintendo song or something soon, I'm feeling inspired now.

Keep writing, you have talent.

VGSongbird responds:

Thanks Dude ^_^

kinda boring

It's the same thing over and over again to a cliche beat. Try adding a bridge or something new to it. Try and make it original. Also use different notes and chords, not just one chord and five notes. If you work on that the song will be better.

Not too into it but . . .

good. What program do you use?

NightcoreVII responds:

I use the ever popular FL Studio. =)

Do you write all classical peices?

I like this peice better than the last one I reviewed. I wish I had the patience to write out full orchestral peices like this. I mainly write really weird stuff on a program called Fruity Loops Studio. I've submitted some stuff to the portal, but not my best stuff, in my opinion. What program do you use again? It sounds REALLY good! I want to look into it. 10/10, 5/5.

PenguinSam responds:

Thanks! I used a program called Finale 2006. They now have Finale 2009 out right now (which is TONS better than 2006). Let me warn you, it is very expencive. The regular price is $600. Xp But if you qualify for the adacemic pricing, it is about $250 :|

There are less expensive versions of Finale and so much more that I could tell you, but it would be easier to go to www.finalemusic.com to find out more about about the program, because I couldn't tell you everything!

Thanks for the review!

<PS>

A real orchestra? Or fake? I bet fake. lol.

I'm going to give you a ten for actually adding an inspiring peice to the portal. Only problem I had is that I thought the dynamics should be more exaggerated, but they were still good. It showed musicality, not my preference of classical peice, but I'm being fair. 10/10 is fair. Nice dude!

PenguinSam responds:

Yeah, the dynamics. Sorry about that. My program doesn't do extremely well with esagerating dynamics. Hopefuly the latest version of said program does (2009 compared to 2006 version).

Oh yes! This orchestra is both real and fake! It was played by a computer, the sounds were recorded live for the crystal clear tone.

I'm very glad that you found this to be inspiring! Hearing comments like that is probably the real reason I compose music, for the enjoyment of others.

I'm glad you enjoyed! (as much as you did)

<PS>

Dude, its not that good

There's NO COMPARISON to Coltrane's solo and interpretation. Also, you were a little out of tune in the melody. Sorry bro, just keeping it real. The rhythm section was boring and repetitive too. I think you should also work on a stronger ending. Peace and good luck.

BloodFest responds:

Of course there isn't comparison, Coltrane was a saxophonist, this is guitar.
